cornell, columbia, jhu, and UC berkeley?

I haven't taken SATs yet, but looking at this forum makes me nervous.
2200 PSAT's (I didn't study..so my aim for SATs is 2300)
hopefuly/probably top 6% by the end of jr yr (no rank)
weighted 4.223 freshman + soph year (the valedictorian got 4.6. wtheck...but she's way above everyone else so i guess whatever)
my EC's suck. jv tennis 2 years, varsity tennis 2 yrs...we won team state champs this year...not many clubs but i'm trying to convince my friend to let me take over the Future Physician's Club (a complete joke).. I volunteer at the hospital, work at a doctor's office, tutor..
SATii's: bio 790, chem 740, mathiic ___
CTY in.. summer after 7th and 8th grade? (seriously, who would give a ***** about cty)
I feel like there's nothing that distinguishes me from the rest of the people with my gpa. I'm nowhere near top 10/437 even though i was last year..
about UC berkeley, what are my chances if I live in NJ?
well, I don't know if I want to go there because there are so many damn asians (i'm chinese myself)..which is good/bad but I should worry about getting in first.

also, ba/md programs? (do i have no chance whatsoever?) i obviously want to become a doctor. and fast...heh

i forgot to mention...is cornell the easiest ivy to get into? or do they just really like my school like everyone says... last year or the year before 8/24 ED applicants got accepted. that's pretty good, right?

goddamn i got my PSAT score wrong. it was really a 2110. LOL my mistake...(sigh, there's no way I'm 'smart' enough to get into ivies..)

dont put yourself down. if you need to be put down, we'll do that for you. i think you have a decent chance.

thanks. i thought i should organize it more:
PSATs: 2110
SATiis: Bio 790, Chem 740, Mathiic___
4.223w
no ranking (but definitely top 10%)
Expecting:
2 yrs. JV tennis, 2 yrs. Vars tennis, one year co-captain. tennis team won state champs this year, doubles partner and i won all counties
__hours of volunteer at hospital

(should i get a job this summer at A/X?? i only want it for discounts haha)

suggest some colleges for me please. im lost lol..

ivy leagues are not about scores.. they are about character

although berkeley might be a little hungry for better scores...(out of state)
that one's gonna be hard

i think with the sat's and ec's, columbia is going to be a reach, while jhu and cornell as high matches

Really random question: Do you go to Don Bosco Prep?

nope sorry =)

stillajunior:

UCB: Match (out of state)

I think you have an "okay" chance everywhere. Make sure your essays are good for the private colleges.

yeah, i agree lol. my gpa/rank couldve been so much higher but i lost a lot of motivation junior year... sucks lol i would probably be happy anywhere though. i could go to nyu right? i have a site that shows the stats of people who got rejected/accepted from various colleges at my school, and avg gpa for cornell was 4.14w and 1430 SAT
of course, a lot of stats were very low that got in and a lot of stats were very high that got rejected =\ is it EC's? im getting rly worried about that now

what about tufts? do u think thats more of a match

UCB: Match (OOS)

new weighted for Berkeley (if i did this correctly): 4.38
unweighted: 3.77

whats the diff in normal weighting and the UC weighting, is it just that you have to drop freshman year?

i think i did it wrong..my gpa isnt as high if theres max 8 semesters of ap/honors credit
