I did the supplemental essay a few days back. Today I checked the Common App site and now there is no more supplemental essay for Cornell, even though it was there before. What's going on?

I saw this too! I was like WHAT?! I decided to shoot them an email. Seeing as it’s 10 PM EST here, I guess I’ll be getting a response tomorrow morning.

Please post back when you get the response!

it must be a glitch on the Common App site.

From the Cornell website:
http://admissions.cornell.edu/sites/default/files/2014%20Freshman%20Writing%20Supplement%20Questions.pdf

I saw this too, but there will still be essays to write. It will probably go back in a day or two, don’t get worried.

Here’s your answer, triassiic: [Applicants beware: ?Stealth? essays can result in incomplete applications - Washington DC College admissions | Examiner.com](http://www.examiner.com/article/applicants-beware-stealth-essays-can-result-incomplete-applications). Be wary!

Did u check ur intended major? The supplement doesnt appear until u declare ur major in the questions section

I already completed all the questions, but it’s still not there!

Okay, I figured it out. If you have completed all the questions and the essay still doesn’t show up, select the yes option for the alternate admission plan, and then click continue (it should show up then). Once you’ve done that just change it back the no alternate admission plan (if you are not doing the alternate admission plan), and the essay should still be there.

It worked thanks!

@triassiic, I tried your method, but when I changed back the supplement disappeared. Is there a different supplement requirement by school?

Each college at Cornell requires a different supplementary essay:
http://admissions.cornell.edu/sites/default/files/2014%20Freshman%20Writing%20Supplement%20Questions.pdf

Sorry I worded my question wrong. What I meant was whether Cornell removed supplemental requirements by school. I was able to fix the problem by doing the method triassiic posted again.

SageQi: It worked for me too the second time. Guys, triassiic’s method is awesome, helps get everything running smoothly again. Just make sure to execute it twice. :)
