I just got back from Cornell , and I must say it was a rollercoaster ride for me. At some points I loved the school (food, taking to interesting people, etc) but at some points I didn't like it as much ( getting completely lost, my feet hurt, etc..). What were your experiences?? What do you think of the school?

I am having the time of my life here. I LOVE it.

My feet were hurting by the end of the day too, but I took every tour possible. Everything else, from the people to the food to the buildings was great.

well, consider that the things you didn’t like are stuff you can deal with, whereas the things you did like aren’t going away. the food is always great, and so are the people. you can try to find different shoes, and once you’re here for a while navigation will not be a problem. the first time I visited NYC my feet were awful the entire time but I still look back on the trip fondly and have returned many times since.

thinking back to one of my pre-frosh experiences, got to campus at night and everything was just lit up and seemed huge, but now I walk that same way often and it’s totally normal (and not intimidating at all).

It’s actually amazing how small the campus seems when you go back as an alum, probably due to the way we tend to over-inflate nice memories of things.

(The Arts Quad is a mile long! The Slope has a gradient that rivals Yosemite Valley! The Clock Tower is the size of the Empire State Building!)

My visit is scheduled for the 28th-29th. Can anyone tell me how one gets from the Ithaca Airport to campus? Also, where do you go from there. Is there some sort of Check In?

there are “cabs” or limos at the airport -it is about a 15 minute and about a $15 trip - they will take you right to North Campus…

My trip was phenomenal. I loved every minute of it. Sure there were moments when I was tired and my feet hurt, but it was worth it for sure. I also took every tour, information session, student meeting and class I could. I loved doing it all. Couldn’t be more excited for next year.

It is also possible to catch the bus to get to Campus. Check: [Home : TCAT Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit](http://www.tcatbus.com)

Cornell will seem to be “small” once you get used to it… :)

)__

from the airport signs will lead you to route 13. take 13S, after about a mile you’ll hit a 5-way intersection that will lead you to north triphammer road. follow this all the way down and you’ll essentially be right on the north end of campus.

the cab ride is most likely only a few bucks anyway. it takes about 15 min

I believe check-in is at the undergraduate admissions office, correct?

I believe check in is actually at RPCC

Diversity Hosting check in is at the undergraduate admissions office
Cornell Days check in is at RPCC
