<p>I called Cornell today to ask a few questions about housing and Cornell Days. I talked to 2 people, one in housing and one in admissions, and they both said that Cornell Days is only for students who applied RD and are making a decision, not for ED students. They also said that they only thing for students to do are stay over in dorms and sit in on classes.</p>
<p>If ED students aren't suppose to attend, why did they mention it in our acceptance letter? Any insight?</p>

<p>i don't think that can be right... quote from letter or acceptance "your admission to cornell is a time for celebration and reflection. the celebration begins now! it will continue on campus if you join us for cornell days, a program in mid-april designed specifically for students who have been admitted to cornell"</p>
<p>i went to Cornell Days last year and had a blast. i was also ED. that means the person is full of s.hit. i think that they give preference to RD kids if they run out of hosts (like me!) for people...i still got to go and didn't hear anything about it from admissions or housing</p>
<p>basically, ED kids feel free to sign up...it is a lot of fun, esp. if you come thurs, friday or sat...because i can take you to parties</p>
<p>Well, isn't the purpose of Cornell Days to attract acceptees to the school? Still, though, I hope the person was wrong and that us EDers can go...</p>

<p>Towerpumpkin: when you're accepted ED, Cornell knows you're coming. you are now expendable [maybe that's a bit harsh, but you get the idea]. if you're a RD kid then you still might not give them money. they figure if they let you stay here and get pampered for a day it'll increase the likelihood of you attending.</p>

<p>Yeah srry to dive in on this thread late but y'all should try to come up for cornell days. I couldnt last year because I was too far away (FL) but those of you in the northeast should make it; its a lot of fun. </p>
