Cornell days?

Would it be advisable to start looking into booking a hotel now for Cornell days? Or do most students up staying over night with another student?

If you want to stay overnight with a student host, you should be able to, as long as you register online very soon after registration opens (you can contact the Red Carpet Society at redcarpet@cornell.edu to check on the registration dates). However, availability is limited, so no guarantees. Also, keep in mind that you can only stay overnight 1 night with a host, so if you were planning to spend multiple days on campus during Cornell Days, you should make hotel arrangements. Finally, if your family will be visiting with you, they should make hotel reservations - then, even if you are not able to get a student host, you could stay with them. You might want to hold off for a bit, though, because even if you get a student host, you might not get your first choice date. Here’s a website to check out for your hotel options near campus: [Visit Ithaca in New York’s Finger Lakes - vacation among amazing waterfalls and gorges and enjoy great restaurants and shopping, hiking, fishing, boating. The official web site of Ithaca and Tompkins County Convention and Visitors Bureau.](http://visitithaca.com/lodging/search.cfm)
