CoRnElL DaYs!

I'll be hosting a bunch of prefrosh this week. Do any of you have suggestions on places to visit or stuff to do during your time here?

My buddy hosted a pre-frosh…she gathered a bunch of us and we took the pre-frosh to CTB and sat outside (one of our favorite things to do on a Friday afternoon). We had a fantastic time and the girl ended up at Cornell :)

What’s CTB?
Haha, I’m so jealous, I wish I could get hosted by someone (but I signed up too late for overnight hosting!)
Apparently all the spots filled up within 12 hours of releasing the registration page. Crazy!

CTB is Collegetown Bagels.

Chandler, if you really want to stay overnight, I’m sure a CCer will gladly host you informally :)

Give them GHB.

chendrix, unfortunately doing that is a HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE liability

there are lots and lots of students from other colleges that stay overnight with their friends every single weekend.

as long as Chandler researches the person and feels comfortable, I don’t see where the liability is. It is the student’s decision.

chendrix: The thought was very nice, and I would actually love to do that, but my parents would be really uncomfortable with me staying in an “unofficial” hosting thing. So it’s not up to what I want (unfortunately, since they’re going and aren’t the type of people who would be like “oh, that person from CC wouldn’t mind taking you? np!”.
They’re more like the people who would think that CC people are KGB spies in real life.
;)

I know one kid at Cornell, but I haven’t talked to him for about 2 years? and was never really friends with him, so I think it would be very awkward to call him up (with a number his mom gave my mom at work… urging me to call him with questions, even though I’ve talked to the kid like twice in my life) and be like “Heyyy dude, wanna hook me up for a night?”

That’s it. My cover is blown.

i dont know if staying with a host will be too beneficial…this is a very stressful time as far as papers go…

you might be better off arranging to meet some CCers on here (probably from your major) and such…

Plus, staying with one person is a very specific experience, and it most likely wouldn’t be like yours. The more people the meet, the more interesting your experience will be!
