<p>Cornell states that "Regular decision freshman applicants need to have all application materials to Cornell by January 1."</p>
<p>Does that mean</p>
<p>A) you have until Jan 1st 23:59 to submit the application
B) you have until Dec 31st 23:59 to submit the application</p>

<p>CRAP! this is driving me crazy too! someone said for a sewanee application they submitted it the day it was due, but im gonna try and do it the day before to be safe...</p>
<p>For ED, I sent in my app Nov 2nd and they didn't care but I was worried the whole time that they might put me in the RD applicant pool...</p>
<p>I checked the instructions on the common app website, apparently its not due until the day of deadline at 11:59 Eastern. So if the deadline is Jan 1, you have to submit it by 11:59 Eastern on January 1st. Make sure though if your in central time zone to submit it by 10:59 Central, etc.</p>
<p>jan 1st 11:59 for sure. Think about it, the instructions are that the application is postmarked by january 1st.</p>

<p>sonofatree is right...I had a very legit reason for submitting my application soo late. I was recently diagnosed with a very severe case of senioritis which prevented me from doing any work...lol
but seriously, I would advise you RDers to submit ur app asap since the admissions office might not be as leaniant with you guys. Also, stay away from people who have been infected with this contagious disease...</p>
<p>just send it in the earlier day. it's not that hard to write the common ap essay and two other bs essays in a few hours.</p>
