Hey, I'll post my times; I think this is really interesting. Anyway, if we weren't obsessed with the college admissions process, why would we be on CC?

there may some truth to the idea that the times mean something. for instance, at another school, a lot of people that got waitlisted saw their screens change at around the same time.

like this: earlier times might mean there was no question on your decision,
later times might mean waitlisted. if you think about it, someone has to put this into the computer (meaning the decisions) and you know they don't wait and do it all at the same time. it must be spread out over a least a few days? when the date and times changed at the other school it did meant they had either made the decision or logged it in on the computer.

dont you think that if they took longer to make a decision that you would have more chances, I mean a rejection would maybe have been known for some time already for some. Anyways this is sort of ridiculus and obsessive. Me included.

you could also take a look at the likely letter thread and either PM those kids too or direct them to this thread

no. the time frame we're looking at here is only a few hours. it's not like the admissions people are making final decisions on all apps now and uploading the decisions individually... there are 30,000 apps. they could have, however, uploaded all the acceptances first or last or something.

Alright, I just got a response from my Asian female cousin from California applying for engineering.

She did get a likely letter and her submitted time is March 24, 1:28 PM EST.

So now, we have two samples who did get their likely letters. Both females, applying for engineering, but one is Asian, the other Afro-American (URM).
