<p>If you refer back to Sacrafice's collected data (page 27..lol), it seems that the first group is waitlisted, the second is accepted (maybe the beginning of the third one, as well) and those in the the third (except maybe the beginning of it, like the 1:54's) and fourth are rejected. While the first group has the strongest candidates, cornell may want to test their interest by placing them on th waitlist. My suggested accepted group seems to be filled with the "officially" likely kids and students who would fit with Cornell academically. The last group is (mostly) made up of kids who would just miss the mark, b/c of some slight weakness in GPA, SAT, or ECs. </p>

<p>Kind of makes sense. But don't know.</p>

<p>We already organized it by state early in the thread, though, and there was no correlation. New Yorkers were scattered throughout, as were internationals and Californians.</p>
