cornell decision email: wrong submitted date?

so, let's say earlier is better, and 12's are accepted and 2's are rejected, what about 1's . i think this is bogus

I think it's done in the order: rejected- accepted - waitlisted. those who got likely letters are all in the 1:00 -2:00 time frame. It makes sense as 75% of applicants will be rejected, 20% will be accepted and 5% waitlisted.

Mine was 2:38... I did the primary/alt with ALS as my primary and A/S as my alt. Probably deferred or rejected.

Hm, how about guaranteed transfers?

Placebo as much as I'd like to agree with you, CC is not an accurate depiction of normal acceptance rates. If anything, 70% of the people on here would be accepted - lol.

stephi878, I'm PRAYING for a GT, since I was told 3 times by the adcom I know it was "quite possible", "very likely", and even "you can expect that to be the worst-case scenario". GT's are great! Almost as good as acceptances. My time was 1:05, so is that rejected or accepted in this theory?

I just found another coincidence; dtop, d4r7h3v1l , and I are all 1:05:00's and we all had 31 ACT scores. Could it be by SAT/ACT? hmmmm lol

if it turns out to be placebo's theory, i will be most ecstatic. i'd be like the happiest kid ever.. seriously. even tho theories are just theories, i guess i still have hope now ^__~

um grantortue, i have a 31 ACT and am also 1:05 but for some reason i dont think thats it... i think perhaps the likelys being around 1 is more reasonable, to do it by SAT/ACT, i mean, though possible, i just cant see that being true

Haha Trackdude, I was being sarcastic :). It would be nearly impossible to do it like that. But it actually could be possible that likely's/accepted/GT's are around 1 fingers crossed. But again, who knows.

this is definitely not in last name order, thats for sure.

all you guys are saying different things.

someone call cornell and ask them... dont take no for an answer!!!:)
itd be funny to hear their response

jaja, they would probably politely not comment and ask you to wait 3 more days.

I hope I don't get waitlisted...I feel like it's almost worse than outright rejection, because then you're like the only person still waiting after all your friends have already enrolled. Anyway if later is worse, that means I'm not getting in, although to be honest it wouldn't surprise me.

I'm trying to hate cornell so I won't feel as bad when I don't get in. Someone tell me terrible things about the school...like how it's in the middle of nowhere upstate ny. that's all I can think of.

could the responses be timed by the college you applied to?

berry you applied to arch right? what was your time?

Yes, I applied to Arch
