cornell decision email: wrong submitted date?

anyone not have a time on thiers?

haha... i just scared myself *****less when i logged in and it said application not submitted... then i realized that wasnt the updated account.. i got 12:26 EST

2:01 PM..international, very unlikely to get in

Did anyone who applied CAS get around 2 p.m? Sounds like the 2 pm'ers are the ones getting rejected...I am very very very unlikely (not being humble it's just the truth lol) and I got around that.

Oh crap. I applied CAS, and my submitted date and time was: 3/24/2008 2:44:00 PM E.S.T.

AM I REJECTED?!?!?! Anyone else have a submission time near 2:00 or 3:00 for CAS?????

Edit: wait, how do you know the "truth" is that you got rejected?

^please relax... it's 2 more days

HAHAHAHA, you guys are being ridiculous with this. Here is something to make your obsessing even worse: I didn't even pay any attention to the submission time/date so when I started reading this thread, I went and checked mine and saw that my submission was at 2:05pm. I signed off and read a few more posts. Then I signed back on and my submission time was 2:01pm. So now what are your theories? :)

I logged back on, my submission time is still the same. Perhaps you made a mistake, because the difference for your two times is marginal.

"So now what are your theories?"

mental error on your part

Chances: No Clue....admissions are whack this year.

Submitted Date: 3/24/2008 12:26:00 PM E.S.T.
Last Name: R
State: WY
School: First choice CAS, second choice Engineering
Chances: Erm... hopeful? No likely, though.

Has anyone considered that they might be by the order that we submitted our apps? It would be the most likely order for them to store it in the database without re-sorting.

Except... make that backwards, since I submitted my app on one of the last few days and got an earlier time.

Jen98- Nice observation. It correlates with my time pretty well. I got the same time as you, we're both CAS applicants, and I submitted within an hour of the final deadline, lol.

abeautifulmind, i got 2:44 too. but i applied to CALS.

and i also submitted mine within an hour of the final deadline..

I got 12:33. I applied to CALS. Last name starts with R and I completed application 3 hours before deadline.

The after 2pm = rejected thing makes the most sense. It means I'm rejected, but I know I'm rejected anyway.

Did anyone else log into today and see in red capital letters, "CHECK YOUR DECISION". My heart stopped, but apparently it was just further instructions for the real thing. I don't understand, we applied to Cornell, we're all smart. I think they give us all these instructions as a sick joke to know that they're stopping 30,000+ hearts everyday until April 1st.
