1:05 Guaranteed Transfer

Heey guys.. 2:44 here.. and I think, possibly? a gt but I'm not really sure what they mean.. 8dbordel.. did yours specifically say guaranteed?

mine didn't say guaranteed, it only said "transfer option", but I was looking around and i didn't see anyone with a transfer offer with different wording.. I'm almost positive it's a GT, but we'll find out tomorrow or the day after when our letters come. A couple people pm'ed adcoms to find out more info about it. It was so vague sounding :( And right after the whole "we can't offer you admission" spiel. I almost didn't notice the transfer part.. But yeah, daniel, what a GT is, is basically if you go to another college and maintain a 3.3 or above, with B's or higher in all classes, you automatically are accepted to attend Cornell your sophomore year. So as opposed to the waitlist where you have a slim shot at going your freshman year (if you get off the list), GT's have no chance of attending their freshman year, but then they're guaranteed a chance to attend sophomore year and onwards (so long as their grades don't slip). Not too shabby, I just hope I dont get too attached to whichever college I spend my freshman year at..

i'm really hoping that's it!! I checked at 5pm .. read the first part.. and closed it.. only just noticed the transfer option part an hour ago. i'm crossing my fingers.. cornell was my top :(
