<p>Hey Guys, I’m an international student from Australia currently studying at a private school and wanting to attend Cornell University (with financial aid) next year. What do you think my chances are? Thank you. Here are my stats:</p>

SAT I (breakdown): 2270 790 CR 720 M 760 W
IB: Predicted score of 43
SAT II: 750 World History, 780 Literature, 690 Biology
Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 3.56 ( fairly low because my school is extremely competitive.
Rank: Top 10%</p>

<p>Extracurriculars/Leadership/Awards:

<p>Here’s the problem with your gpa- how is Cornell supposed to know your school is very competitive? What evidence do you have to support that? Ranking could support this claim. If you are within the top 10 (not top 10%) of your class, your point would be proven. However, I do understand that some schools do not give exact rankings. Nevertheless, good luck!</p>

<p>I think the only issue you have is GPA, but if you are at the top 10% of your class then you can say that on your common app, i’d say that cornell is quite a reach for this one solely because of that.</p>
