Is economics at Cornell advisable? Would Cornell students be targets for IBanks?

economics is a solid degree at any top university. that being said, many econ majors double major in something else.

a better question would be whether or not econ majors at cornell are overshadowed by AEM, ORIE, HOTEL and ILR majors…

Not if they have the GPA,ECs, and personality to count.

hmm. I get what you guys are trying to say. But would I get jobs on Wall Street?

In the past, qualified Cornell Econ majors (or English or Anthropology majors, for that matter) have had no trouble going into I-Banking.

Thanks CayugaRed2005. The thing is, I’m applying for transfer to Cornell next year and the year after(if I dont get in next year). I’m an International but I have no problem with living in Ithica. So Cornell happens to be one of my top choices.
