It’d be really nice to have your honest opinions. The MORE blunt, the BETTER This’ll help me know what I need to improve on for applying to other colleges!

Please be as straightforward as possible. my feelings won’t be hurt

You definitely have a strong chance of getting in! Of course, it’s not definite, but I think you will be able to. Your stats are great, your extracurriculars are pretty good, and your essays sound great. And since you applied ED, Cornell is definitely within your reach.

If you want, I’d appreciate it if you chanced me back. http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/2031061-chances-uchicago-others.html#latest

I think your chances are meh tbh. If I were to guess, the usual arts and sciences ED acceptance rate isn’t that much higher than the RD rate. Does your high school typically send students to Ivies? I’m guessing if students like you historically get into Cornell ED from your school, you’ll probably get in. If not, your chances are probably not better than the average applicant.

Feel free to chance me back on my most recent thread.

@FreePariah We’re a moderately sized public school but yeah, lots of people have gotten in!

Also, I am a student leader for our church’s youth group student leadership team.

You have pretty good chances for a Cornell ED applicant. Your stats are great and your ECs are pretty good.

Solid chance!!

Here’s the deal, you are obviously a great student, but I wouldn’t bet on it. Cornell may not be a top ivy, but it is still an ivy, so unless you truly stand out, your chances are meh. Your grades and test scores are excellent, but so are everybody else’s. Your ECs are good, but none are truly spectacular. You have a chance, but I’m not sure if it’s a high one. It really depends on whether or not your essay and rec letters make the admissions staff remember you.

your stats sound amazing! ur recs and essays seem good so i guess its all up to random chance now… i’m sure you’ll get in!! good luck <333

@sashachup I definitely would never bet on an ivy hahaha so yeah!! I completely agree. Thanks for your input. It’s very realistic and thorough - just what I need

I’m applying ED CAS too and your stats are great, so I’d say you have a good chance.
