Cornell ED Class of 2022 Discussion Thread

@fsadreamer I had a student last year who had legacy through his father and he received an interview. What is your major?r

GPHS major in CALS, applied on October 9th, no interview request of any kind either.

@fsadreamer wow ths cool! im doing biological sciences for CALS and rlly hope i get in tbh. idt the interviews matter alot since its random and based on location, and may not even factor into admissions. my friends wit legacy also got interviews so i think its mainly random and location wise

@lisaol CAS undecided

@SMoneygang interesting!! yeah I’m not sure how much they matter either
 it would be nice!

@SMoneygang also being from NY is helpful for CALS so you should be fine!

Did anyone hear about an interview today, or do we think the invitation period is over?

@fsadreamer I actually got my invite last night! Super excited, I think they have until end of November for interviews so maybe just wait till you get contacted.

@fsadreamer According to CAAAN calendar I posted earlier, they have till Nov 30th to submit their report

I assume they can contact till then.

I already had my interview last week. It went really smooth and was not formal at all.

About the financial aid to do list saying initiated, I emailed financial aid and they said it says that for everyone. They won’t update the list and process your docs until late November

@SMoneygang congratulations!! that’s so exciting!!

@Scorpion2000 got it, thank you so much!!

Hey guys! I was just wondering that, if your financial aid updates soon, does that mean you’re in? Or do they update regardless. Thanks!

@irandolph I wouldn’t think so
 but would be curious to see when and if people go from initiated to something else

Engineering ED applicant here. All my financial aid stuff is also “initiated”.

The Cornell alumni network says that the notification date is Dec. 7 but it probably is subject to change:

I had CAAAN “interview” today and it was very informal. She asked few questions about me because Cornell didn’t give her my information. It only lasted half an hour or so and we just talked about CALS. It was super helpful!

Here several people talk about Cornell asking for their first quarter grades so it wouldn’t be far fetched to think that they would do it this year

Financial aid documents are due tomorrow at what time? 11:59 PM Eastern or our local time?

How long does it take to fill out IDOC?
