Cornell ED Class of 2022 Discussion Thread

For IB they either look at your midterm report (submitted end of junior year) or predicted (beginning of senior), usually the latest, and will compare them for improvement. If you made 7s (or 6s) you should be fine.

@xfewds okay now i really have my hopes up lol im going to be even more crushed if i get a thicc rejection now lmao

Anyone get into Stanford at your guys’ schools? We had one girl

@sn1267 I am!!

skipschoolgang

@elpollodiablo They don’t send without your request. So what you’re saying is wrong; they ask (IF NECESSARY) for your quarter grades. Either to make sure you are still highly performing, or to make sure that that “upwards trend” isn’t disrupted because its college szn.

@rapscallion Double legacy african american girl got in and asian-american boy rejected from my hs (bay area).

The girl from school got in with a 31 ACT, but “women in STEM” and also half-hispanic/URM.

@xfewds IB diploma candidate?

@rapscallion Affirmative action smh

@chops00in yessir you can check my chance me

@xfewds me2 IB straight work tho

My teachers’ evaluations were just updated (green tick) 3 days ago in the portal. They were submitted before deadline. What does it mean? They were not read until 3 days ago?

@chops00in Yea honestly think id have a higher GPA if I went through an AP curriculum
 I work like a dog everynight for an A and it’s somehow impossible to get anything higher than a B+ in language ffs

Hi I applied to A&S CS major and I’m dying rn! CS would be extra harder to get in
right?

@whateverrrr hundo p

@whateverrrr Yes that was what I applied to, CAS, CS. It might be harder if you are asian and male, but then again that is for the entire school. The college you are applying to affects difficulty more so than major, which is why I didn’t apply COE, since you can change major easily by altering classes you take. Anyone can take any classes and do not declare a major until end of 3rd or 4th semester. The intended major is supposed to let them gauge your dedication (did you do CS-related ECs?) and stats (i.e. did you take CS Math Physics etc.).
