Cornell ED Class of 2022 Discussion Thread

PAM

Is Cornell likely to offer guaranteed transfer (sophomore year admission) through early decision? Or would it be more likely you’d first be deferred then offered it in the RD round?

im geeking so hard rn

how many people are offered guaranteed transfer?

You’re not going to get guaranteed transfer from ED. To get guaranteed transfer, you need to be deferred from ED to RD, and they would possibly offer it to you at that point.

We received the same emails today @grotonMAdad and @Jimao200

One about the ID: “You must create an FSA ID (a username and password) in order to electronically access etc. etc
If you already have an FSA ID, you can disregard this message and no action is required.”

And a couple about the correction. The change could only have been made by Cornell FAA since we directly sent them the additional info reflected in the correction. What does it mean, if anything? We’ll find out soon enough.

Good luck all!

@silver67 did the list of schools change at the bottom of the SAR?

@pythakorean I applied for Biological Sciences at CALS

I called fafsa and it was Cornell that made a change. However, it means nothing about acceptance or rejection. It was done because they get random audits and my info had a mistake. They have a right to correct it. Fin office does not know if we are accepted or rejected. So if you did not get the email, all it means that your info was correct and no mistakes
No matter what 2hours and 45 min of waiting
