I am the mother of a current freshman at CAS. I feel the pain of those who got either deferred or rejected. We were in the same boat on 12/15/16 when my son got deferred by Yale. After 3 months of agony, in March, he got into Cornell as a Tanner Dean scholar via a likely letter.
Keep your hopes up!
Do not get discouraged if you did not receive the outcome you were looking for.
You will eventually get into a college where you will fit well.
