@CornellCOE, our GC just sent a pdf of the online report card. Emailed it to them directly.
Re: ED Q1 grades for COE. My son’s school counselor has never sent out the quarterly report out before and told us she will send out the mid-year report in February. To be safe, my son has uploaded his Q1 report card through Application Status page (Upload Supplemental Information) before the Thanksgiving deadline. I called COE admission office today and the lady there told me it’s okay to upload the Q1 report card this way. If you are in a similar situation, I suggest uploading your Q1 report card through Application Status page as a minimum.
does CALS require Q1 grades??? Is it just the COE that requires it??
To finish Q1 grades for COE off. I’m from UK hence we have predicted grades. Explained full situation to them, they said that I don’t have to send anything, however, it is absolutely required for people who do have them.
My ED major is DEA. Does anyone else apply DEA in Human Ecology College? Does anyone know about this major’s acceptance rate? I cannot find lots of information about this major, so I am a little anxious… Thanks guys!
maybe it’s just me, but i feel as if financial aid should be after acceptance. seems like a waste of their resources to file our financial aid while most of us don’t get in. is there a reason for doing this?
can they deny you if you have false info or any discrepancies on your financial aid?
@Anurora what state are you from
I’m actually an international students, and it seems that all friends around me applied CALS lol. I feel super anxious about this “little known” major.
I was just told 12/10 at 7:00pm EST
They need to have the financial aid info for ED accepted applicants because the commitment is based on them offering you the aid you need to attend. If they don’t offer you enough aid so that you can afford to go you are released from the ED commitment. If they waited till after offering you acceptance to figure out your aid and you didn’t get enough you might miss an opportunity to apply somewhere else that is within your ability to afford.
do admission officers check your social media before they send out decisions?
i suppose that does make sense. with a school like cornell though, i’d imagine they already have more than enough donation money and grants to cover a large majority of its students’ tuition if it wanted.
honestly, they barely have enough time to evaluate each application let alone check ur social media. it’s not part of their application process so i’d assume it’s against the procedures to base their decision on a social media profile that may or may not be yours
@jftb1020 who told you that
@yllatagu It’s a federal offense to report false information on your Fafsa or CSS and other financial aid information, so YES, I would most definitely think if they find out you submitted false information they would deny you. If the discrepancies are unintentional then they would do an audit or you might be chosen for federal verification.
Like with most things in life, best to be honest, and then it’s not an issue!
I thought the IDOC was verification? I had to send in addition screenshots of federal tax returns
How many people are not submitted their first quarter report for COE?
I haven’t submitted yet but i am going to on wednesday when my report card comes available
I called admissions at Cornell today and they said ED will be released 12/10 at 7:00pm. They first said 5:00 but said it changed to 7:00pm this year.
