Is there still time to submit Q1 grades for COE?
yeah but i feel like they made most decisions already
@NJman111 there’s absolutely no harm in trying to submit them. Whether decisions have been made or not, it certainly can’t hurt and if anything at this point can really only help if you’re on the border. It’s probably not going to move you out of a yes pile if grades are low but since they were required, you definitely don’t want to feel like not turning them in wound up hurting if the decision is not what you hoped for.

How many applicants do you think applied ED this year? like a rough guess
@bluefield I’m applying Bioengineering to CALS… Cornell doesn’t have a BME major but they do have it in a minor. Bioengineering is the closest thing to BME they have.
@FutureSurgeon27 lol actually they just introduced the major a couple of years ago into the college of engineering

I’d say about 7000 people
Application officers are surprisingly good at knowing what your personality is and what kind of person you are based on your essays / applications. I think it’s pretty cool that they can evaluate your whole person from a file
ED app numbers yoy trends I have seen Brown +20%, Yale +5%, Upenn flat
Cornell had 5401 ED applications in 2021 and 6325 in 2022. North of 7000 seems like it would be the trend for 2023.
Any idea how many ED applicants apply to Hotel School past years?
How many do you guys think theyd accept for ED this year? & anyone else’s “check application status” still blank?
Would Cornell accept more students this year if the number of applicants increased?
