Hi all! I’m planning on applying to College of Arts and Sciences for early decision and I know that they require 2 subjects… I recently took the october one and didn’t do so hot. Do you guys think they will accept november scores?? I just checked college board and they said scores are to be released nov. 16 which is passed deadline but I know some schools accept late score if you’ve submitted everything. PLEASE HELP IM FREAKING OUT!

godplshelpme, I’m having the exact same issue. My entire application checks out except for my math 2, which I did awful on (620 D:) It was not a difficult exam by any stretch, but I had almost no sleep studying the night before for the Physics exam I also took that day and now I’m stressing. I emailed them asking if I could send in a November score if I retook, still no response. It’s an issue for me because I take all higher math classes and have had an A or higher in all of them throughout highschool and have a 780 on the regular SAT math, so a 620 is very very out of place.

@marcerino Wait LOLOL omg I got 620 too on math 2. I’m planning on calling them tomorrow and I’m praying that they’ll accept it.

Anybody have any idea when ED decisions are released?

@grover715 mid december

Ok admissions question here: at my school, for ED Cornell there are 3 applicants I currently know of, the other 2 being a recruited athlete and a triple legacy. Naviance data from my school suggests that each year only 1 or maybe 2 people get in. The legacy, who is a good friend of mine has a lower gpa (mine is an 3.85, his .2 lower), and we do similar extracurriculars, mine being slightly more notable. How much benefit to the application (Gpa wise) would a legacy status give, and will I be the first rejected or do I still have a chance? Is it also beneficial that he is applying to Eng and I to CAS?

The admissions offices are separate. Engineering and CAS each have its own admissions staff and procedures. It will not make a difference. In my kids’ HS, about 5-8 students are accepted to Cornell every year.

Hi, I’ve applied to Cornell last week, but I still haven’t gotten an e-mail that acknowledges my application (the one that gives me access to the CU Portal).

Has anyone here gotten an e-mail after applying to Cornell? I’m getting worried. Thanks!

My daughter applied over the weekend and hasn’t heard anything yet either.

I just sent in ED application!! Feeling really good
Does anyone know when we’ll get instructions about setting up our portals?
So nervous and excited omg!!!

hey guys I am applying ed to engineering for cs. really really nervous!!

I’m in the same boat as you! I was originally issued an applicant ID but it was since deleted and they said I would be reissued one, which I still haven’t received. I email technical support and they said it should be available by Monday. Hope this helps!

Ahh I see. Thanks for the replies!!

Probs 14 December or so

@grover715 - ED decisions are usually released between Dec 10th -15th each year but keep an eye on the Cornell admissions page for the exact date for this year.

Science Olympiad Nationals is at Cornell this year. Gonna be a big oof if I don’t get in.

I applied a week ago and never got an email about setting up a portal or any email from Cornell even acknowledging my application. Anybody else have the same issue?

I’m thinking maybe no one has yet gotten the portal info or acknowledgement of the app.
