What phone call?
@bigredhope Apparently, in the past few years, some people who had been accepted into Human Ecology received a phone call from an alumni a few days prior. Of course, there are people who didn’t get the phone call, but got accepted. I am trying to figure out how important this phone call is.
Was that during ED or RD? I haven’t seen that mentioned in any of the past ED forums
Oh, maybe it is only for ED, then. @bigredhope
I mean RD
Do you mean the interview phone call?
Yeah why is Cornell thread hotter than other ivies. Just cuz more applicants? Also anyone know the applicant pool increase this year?
Does ED gave anything to do with it? ED seems to be more commitment than EA, so naturally applicants are more invested. It is interesting.
@Art__1018 If you are talking about the CAAAN interview, then no.
Could be because a)Cornell is one of the biggest Ivies and b) because their decisions are being announced sooner than other schools and people have been speculating about it for a couple weeks so a lot of the comments are just redundant
@srparent15 I think it is Accept, Defer, Deny. I think wait-list only applies to RD applicants. With Cornell’s wait-list, I think they put 6,000 people there, over 1000 accept spots, and 75 people are offered a spot off the wait-list. This is according to last year’s admissions statistics.
Does anyone have any good strategies for forgetting about Cornell until Monday? Feeling really anxious and I don’t want to make these 3 days feel any longer.
Prepare your RD applications to kill the time.
I’m also applying ED to animal science majo
Cuervo 1800
WHOS APPLYING ILR
Does anyone know how many applicants applied ED to Cornell this year?
ED stats usually come out a week or 2 after the ED decision date. This is the article from the Cornell Sun about last years ED class. https://cornellsun.com/2017/12/20/cornell-early-decision-admissions-rate-drops-for-3rd-year-in-a-row/
Just 76 looooooooooooooooooong hours to go I’m freaking out now
I have an Oxford interview the day of decisions. Gonna reject Oxford for Cornell)
