@srparent15 I was talking about the admitted students to-do list that people were logging into with their applicant id and password.
I logged into the to-do list. After you change the “Not you?” to Fall 2019 it shows a generic "you’ve been accepted, here’s what’s next. If you look at the url it isn’t user specific. Just a general message. Shouldn’t say anything
^Note: even if you didn’t sign in you would still see the same thing. Should indicate nothing
It definitely mean nothing… it’s just Cornell preparing for later on in the year. You can see everything described without logging into anything at all.
Can’t focus on calc right now lol
On the Cornell Checklist where it says if ur sat score was received and teacher recs. For people who submitted an additional recommendation does it say anything on the checklist? I submitted mine through commonapp and it says downloaded on November 02 so I think they should receive it, but i’m not sure. My counselor rec and my teacher recs are there but it doesnt say if the other one is
@biopasdf mine does not show the extra letter I submitted, I bet they only show the required materials in there
Do you guys think essays play a big role for Human Ecology?
i feel like essays play a big role for all the schools at cornell since most of the applicants have similar scores and extracurriculars
@biopasdf Same thing on ours. I think it only shows the 2 required not the optional even though an optional was sent. I’m guessing that list only shows the required documents, so I wouldn’t worry about it. For us, too late now since tomorrow is do or die!
Hi I was ED class’22 to HE PAM major. Essays play a huge part. I would say the most important part. At the same time, essays will only be important assuming you have all other benchmarks ( gpa, sat, rigor).
P.S. This is assuming an applicant has no hooks.
And I love Cornell! Love HE, love PAM. Good luck with everything
Transfer applicant here. So we have determined that the Transfer applicant checklist thing doesn’t mean anything?
Yeh I think the essay is very important too. I also applied for CHE and went to their info session last summer. They said they were looking for the best fit students so…
Have you guys had activity on your financial aid to do lists? Mine has been empty since November, should I be worried?
Btw one Cornell website that lists required materials says that for applicants to CHE it is strongly recommended to attend their CHE info session. Does this show demonstrated interest and therefore influence their decision, or is it just a way to let you learn more about CHE?
Hey! Did you apply for financial aid? If you did, did you receive the decision on the same day as admission results?
It’s the same with me! I’m a little confused too, I guess we just need to hope for the best
@liroki I would think anyone (except maybe International applicants) applying ED would have visited the school and attended the respective info sessions, but I noticed that too for COE. I believe it does show demonstrated interest, however, if I remember correctly, Cornell supposedly doesn’t take that into account and the mail they constantly seemed to send us was for ILR not Engineering so who knows what was going on there anyway?
@BadCoder how does it make a difference if you can log in?
@Sapphire8 If I login, it shows some things as incomplete and one thing as complete, but all the text is the same as if I don’t login. It’s also for Spring 2019 and we’re applying for Fall 2019, so I doubt that it means anything.
