Cornell ED Class of 2023 Discussion Thread

Nothing so far

I just received my first student contact today for a alumni info meeting. Be patient!

Did anyone not receive any applicant ID email?

I did on november 1st, the morning after i submitted my app

Was the interview contact for Human Ecology? When did your application get submitted?

I’m an alum of Arts and Science so the student I was assigned is applying to A&S. However, the general email that assignments were coming went to our entire regional alumni group yesterday so all ED students in our area should be contacted soon. Make sure you are checking your spam folder and the email account you provided Cornell. Many times alumni will try to contact students via email first.

Okay, let’s start this line of comments – On what date will they announce admissions decisions?

Last year was 12/11, which is a Monday, so if its the same as previous years it should be Monday 12/10 this year

Two years ago, it was Thursday, Dec. 8.

My guess is it might be the 6th this year because that falls on a Thursday and the 8th is a Saturday this year. The only reason it went to the 11th last year is because they had a delay, so barring a delay this year I think it will be around the 6th.

Interesting, so around the first or second week of December sounds right enough.

If you don’t mind my asking what region are you in?

West coast region

Anyone here receive the financial aid e-mail? Does it mean anything?

Just spam. sent to everyone generally

I thought they said mid-December? Why the 6th?

I asked Cornell admissions and the person told me that I should expect the result on december 10th! Hope this helps!

They always say mid December and you will notice they say BY mid December, so its their deadline they want to get them out before that deadline. Im going by what happened the last two years. So based on the other comments here I would say anytime between the 6th and 10th (Thursday, Friday or Monday) is a good bet.

Completely random but this year’s Cornell ED thread seems to be less active compared to previous years. Possibly due to recent Cornell controversy?
