deferred from SHA

Me too bud. Let’s work hard for the regular pool. We got this!! I heard they don’t accept many SHA applicants for the early round.

I heard that too. Hey, it wasn’t rejection. We are still in this!

Same here, deferred. Agree though, lets work for this RD pool. Hopefully we do well! Good luck to all SHA applicants who got deferred in ED.

Question though: do you know if when being reassessed in the RD Cornell takes into consideration that we did do ED and are serious about this?

Son is in SHA, so relieved and happy and proud.
Good luck to all!!

Yes, we will be in the same pool with other regular decision applicants, but the admission officers will know that we were deferred not newly applying.

Do you believe this will give us any advantage?

Following Nathel’s info i would say that, for example; say two applicants are applying and are considered of same level overall, the deferred applicant would be offered a place as he sacrificed applying to other universities in ED, showing that if he is offered a place he will most likely go.

So yes, thankfully i do think it gives us an advantage.
