Cornell ED Deadline Extended

Extended to November 3rd, 2012. Enjoy the extra few days kids.

Woohoo. Two days. Pales in comparison to Columbia’s Nov 5th deadline.

How do you know?

As of 4:10pm on Sunday 10/28, the Cornell website still has the date as Nov. 1

Cornell will update their website soon, I presume.

As well as other’s if you’d like to know.

And I live in Ithaca, NY (I was just on Cornell campus) and it is public knowledge there, as well as among my peers.

THANK THE LORD!!! I’ve been freaking out all weekend because of this…if my power is still out though, how do I submit my application? And where does it officially say this?

Well yes I believe they will do it but your sources are from last year (they extended the deadline last year) so they don’t really say anything to support what you’re saying haha. Your articles are both dated 2011. But yes since you were there I guess it is true, I’m sure they will announce it soon.

This dude has no proof, what a ■■■■■

Ignore what I said, I’m actually unsure now that I looked at all the sources and they are last years. But I do know that many schools have been extended ED. And people have told me it is extended (on campus), but it’s not 100% confirmed. Don’t trust this post, unfortunately I can’t edit. And no, I was not trolling.

And it is only logical to extend it since many of my friends in other states have lost power. It is simply unfair to them.

Haha I know you weren’t trolling, you just read the article wrong like I did at first. But yeah I’m sure they will extend it officially soon.

:) Thanks, I’ll keep you posted though if anything gets mentioned!

If they extend the deadline, would it be looked down on to use the extra days if I’m not affected by the storm?

Update from Cornell website:
[Early Decision Deadline Extended to November 5 | Admissions](http://admissions.cornell.edu/news/early-decision-deadline-extended-november-5)

Ah finally

Does that mean 11:59 PM November 5th or 1 minute after 11:59 PM November 4th?

From Alumni Association’s Facebook page:

For those who may know someone applying to Cornell this fall Early Decision: Early Decision Deadline Extended to November 5

Cornell University’s early decision deadline has been extended to midnight on Monday, November 5. This deadline has been extended for all application materials, including school forms and recommendations.

Does this include people not affected by the storm as well?
