We are allowed to turn down Cornell ED acceptance if we're not given enough financial aid right? (can someone link me to info on this?)
Also when do we know our aid estimates? (for ED)

From what I know (from counselors/Googling around), colleges will let you off ED penalty-free if you can prove that you are unable to pay. But if Cornell decides that you only need x amount of money in aid and your parents are able to but don’t want to pay that much, I think it will be much harder to release yourself from ED.

I’m kind of worried, applied ED to Cornell because I love it, but I’m not sure my fin aid package will suffice, and they’re kind of set on paying $20k for my brother’s tuition as well.

I’d also like to know if anyone knows when the financial aid stuff is coming.

Yeah :\ I literally can’t pay $40k plus dorm a year because we can’t afford it but I’m not sure how much aid I’ll get
(congrats btw!)

Thanks, you too! Right now, I suggest we just celebrate instead of worrying, haha.

Anyone have any idea when the financial aid stuff comes out?

^Kinda wondering this as well.

Two years ago, our FA offer came within a couple days. The wait should be brief. Congratulations!!

^ It might take longer if you’re international.

My package just came!

I got my package, but when I click on aid year 2015, it says that no fin aid information is available…?

was the aid package emailed to you guys?

Well I, being my ignorant self, did not realize that the financial aid deadline for ED students was due at the beginning of November. Is it possible to apply for financial aid like a regular student and still get aid even though I am ED?
