<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I'm a senior preparing to apply to colleges. My biggest fear is my SAT Ii's. I never had a tutor so I didn't know which tests to take. Nonetheless I have a lot of experience in engineering (including international recognition) and am interested in Cornell! Let me know if you think my strengths offset my weaknesses.</p>

<p>GPA: 101.3 (Weighted)
~99 (Unweighted)</p>

<p>ACT: 33
Math I: 730
Chemistry: 790</p>

<p>-Taken 3 APs (All 5s), have over 20 college credits from SUNY Albany, including (college level) chemistry...no AP chem is offered (GPA: 3.96)

-Editor in Chief of Newspaper (Previously: Managing Editor, Layout Editor)

-Designed a new website and managed it for the district athletics department
-Varsity Swimmer, 4 yrs
-National Honor Society
-Just joined the engineering club to learn programming
-Fed Challenge (economics research club)
-Jazz Band</p>

<p>Summers:
-Lifeguarded on weekends
-During the week: Researched in labs at Columbia U. and City College of NY
-Wrote a research paper, will send this
-Presented research at an international competition in Houston, won silver medal</p>

-Bronze presidential service
-1st place in local science competition
-Cornell Book Award
-District student of distinction: higher level science</p>

<p>So what does anyone think? I've really tried to polish my essay and application, so at this point I'm just making some finishing touches.</p>

<p>A 99% average? Do your teachers pass out the answer sheets before you write the test, or are your tests just that easy?</p>

<p>It’s 98.7%. I have steady 98s in math and science and 99s and 100s in English and history…kind of joke ish at my school.</p>

<p>I think you’ll be very competitive for Cornell! High match/ low reach just because of the competitive nature of RD and how unpredictable ivys can be. That being said I think your shot is very good. Good luck!</p>
