<p>that list is a bad use of the U.S. News and World Report. The reason why Cornell ranks #1 above all those other schools is because the category is "Engineering Science/Engineering Physics". The AEP department and major earned #1 on U.S. News. Not the college as a whole. As a whole, in the PhD granting institutions list for engineering, Cornell placed 8th on U.S. News. Very good still, but not the best...obviously.</p>
