Ouch... I'm sad for you 381406. However, provided that your GPA is as good as your satii scores and you have decent (other) extracurriculars, other colleges are bound to accept you. Don't worry!

381406 you are a moron. posting your best aspects and expecting people to sympathize with you in is pretty stupid...post the rest if you want people to take you seriously.

Maybe he forgot to submit the rest to Cornell too....

wow... i dont see any problems... u got so much better scores but i got in. well depends on ur GPA. and other things u didnt post up.

nothing GPA 3.7/4.2
SAT 1820 toooo low
Rec they missed one and my teacher faxed it before thanksgiving
I always think math and science is the most important and did not retake SAT
Maybe it is a problem.
I will try others.

SAT breakdown? Since it was engineering you should atleast have a 700 math... and if that was the case, your CR and writing couldn't have been great. Any engineering school usually requires, or strongly suggests, the math iic as well. Your GPA is decent, but not great, and we're not sure of your ECs. You shouldn't have a problem at a pure engineering or technical school where all they really look at is math and science if your math scores are decent.

Perhaps Cornell Engineering "don't" like your essays.

Wow, it's unfortunate you caught that before me Spanks. The one that got away...

useless eight hundreds
600 in 800 out
I am so stupid
when I open the engineering view book
I saw "math and science".
but in truth they did not care at all

I dont know what's happend
but I was reject with such scores

Thanks for evey one helped me, thanks
See you Cornell see you

They do care, its just that a lot of other people had the math and science scores AND good other stuff. For example, I came in with 800 SAT Math, 800 IIC, 790 Physics, and 5s on AP Physics C (both parts) and Calculus BC. Most of the people I know who are taking the same math classes that I am have similar math scores and many have similar physics scores. We also all pretty much have 650+ on verbal and writing (and that seems to be a minimum with the people I've met; many have 700+ scores on non math/science tests). Everyone is very competent in basic English; I can't understand what you're saying in some of your posts. The scores you've stated aren't outstanding as virtually everyone in Engineering came in with similar stats.

BTW, what level did you reach for Physics Olympiad?

I'm sorry OP, inability to construct a coherent sentence also affects how admissions views your application. You're being immature. If you aren't intelligent enough to know that Cornell Engineering cares about your other scores as well, considering that Cornell is one of the top colleges in the nation, you really don't belong there.

Those scores aren't that good. Maybe you'll have better luck at colleges more singularly focused on engineering.
