cornell engineering question

i've heard that admissions to cornell is very "fit specific." my goal is to be admitted cornell's engineering college. so what are some qualities/traits that the admissions officers look for that make me a good fit for engineering?

good at/interest in math and science

the fit specific thing is more for some of the more niche programs. If you are applying to the engineering school then I would imagine you probably like math and science so it is probably a good fit.

Also, extracurriculars that are math/science/engineering related such as research, robotics, science club, etc. But, you can’t be completed focused on math and science (have awful grades in english/history/etc.) and expect to get in, they still want people who are somewhat well-rounded, but with an obvious interest in engineering.

Check the admissions requirement grid for Engineering. There is a heading: What we are looking for…" for each school at Cornell.
