I sent that in about 2 weeks ago, the check was cashed as well but no PIN so far.</p>

3.91 GPA with ~55-60 credits completed thus far
1410 SAT, top 7% of high school class
various (rather weak) EC's: piano chamber music, intramural tennis, ping pong
Internship this summer</p>

I'm applying to the same major as you are with 3.95 with 63 credits from a cc. No impressive ECs, no sats. I didn't attent high school in the united states, but I'm not international.</p>

<p>It seems that many people are applying for ECE. Do you know how big their ECE department is? Would this make it more difficult to get in for this major?</p>

You have a great shot coming from Carnegie Mellon which is up to par with Cornell engeeniring.</p>

<p>I'm just about finished with all my part 2 stuff. I have guaranteed transfer so my app is a little diff from the standard one, nevertheless, my part 2 should be ready to send out soon. I just gotta do the essays. Do they not give you your pin until you send some of part 2, or how does it work? I thought they gave it to you if you send in part 1?</p>
<p>I've pretty much finished my essays. I do not have time to work on the application now, so I will continue to revise my essays over spring break, which starts just a few days before March 15th... so I'll be able to send it in right before the deadline.</p>
