Well, since we are enrolled for Fall 2006 and since most engineers are in the same classes together, let's get to know each other. Maybe then we can help each other out through the rigors of classes and campus life.

So basically, just post who you are, whether you're female or male, some hobbies and interests, your hometown, some classes you are currently taking, what kind of engineering you are interested in studying and anything else you would like to share.

So to start it all off, I am a Senior from NJ and a female. My interests include Robotics, Computers, Space sciences, piano and viola, reading and writing, as a hobby. Currently, I am taking AP Physics B, AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, Organic and Biochemistry, and AP Literature and Composition. I'm not too sure which courses I'm going to place out of...right now I'm thinking using the AP credit for Calc and Chem. I've applied for Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. I'm thrilled about Cornell and looking forward to making some great friends and learning much.

yay another female engineer lol. i'm from south florida...interests are piano, painting, dance (i hear you can take ballroom dancing as a PE class which is so cool!), and doing homework i guess. taking physics c, calc bc, stat, english lit, gov't, spanish, and orchestra. i applied for mechanical and aerospace as well but that's most likely going to change. and i hate the cold =(

im a male senior from NYC, i like to play football and shoot pool in my free time. i also play the piano (what asian doesnt) and the flute (long story). i dont really like to read books, but i do read magazines. im probably coming off as anti-intellectual, but im really not. oh yes, i play video games too =)

im taking calc BC, physics C, microeconomics, video production, to name a few. by the way, my school offers ballroom dancing senior year, so i dont have to take that in Cornell hehe

since i am so original, i will follow brother's format... lol... im a male senior for westchester county, i like to chill w/ friends, do tae kwon do, play tackle football in the snow, shop for new stuff and walk around nyc, do lots of stuff. um.... im not really very political and i get bored by intellectual stuff. i got in ED and will be doing mech e. im taking calc bc, physics c, economics, english, and stats. um... i learned how to swing dance w/ a couple of my friends--im really good at aerials ladies ^^...?? (we have to ballroom dance at cornell??)

I'm a senior from AZ, which as boring as it may sound I love it, we have awesome parties especially down at asu!!! I love all my friends too, running (as you probably can tell), soccer, playing piano, i originally was on a competitive dance team not ballroom dancing but had to quit last year, and football .. powder puff games are sweet!!!...I'm taking calc 3, diffq, chem, stats, english, etc...i'm majoring in chem and biomolecular eng. I'm excited to finally see snow also..and to live in it, i guess that might change though. oh and i forgot i'm female. lol.

I'm male from Massachussets. I'm taking MV Calc, Honors Physics, AP Biology, AP Pyschology, Economics and english but plan to take the AP in physics C mechanics and macroeconomics (maybe micro) too. I'm planning on doing AEP if I like and am as good at math and physics as I am in high school. I play football and our team broke the mass. state winning streak at 52 straight games over the last 5 years. I like chilling with friends, TV, Movies, drinking (hate beer...college might make that change) but not being a crusty mess, smoking but not being a stoner, etc etc. I like all kinds of other sports and playing bball with people is always fun. I play comp. games a fair amount (consoles suck...noob.) and my current favs are dod:s, cs:s, cod2, wowc, quake4 and I'm looking forward to playing Vanguard:SOH!! (It'll be released during fall of freshman year hopefully) Engineering is gonna take a lot of time (especially...AEP) but its leet stuff and hopefully there'll still be a few hours in the days for other fun stuff.

my nickname is my initials MJR...everybody will call me that or maybe mijir...i assure you

i am a girl from so cal. i am undecided within the college. i def. feel like i am going to be the stupid one at cornell but thats ok. i used to be a big partier but not so much anymore, i have a feeling that might change. i am just happy not having to go to an all girls catholic hs anymore. i am a volleyball player and i have never been much of a studier. i am super excited but in major trouble when it starts to snow

Name: Arjun Shankar Prakash
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Major: Electrical and Computer engineering
Interests: Science, Reading (especially Sci-fi), Research and BAsketBall
Weird facts abt me: Everyone at school calls me "Owl" bec of my glasses and nerdy looks...

i'm jeff from ny. i run cross country, wrestle, play volleyball, used to play soccer. i go to bethpage hs and i'm taking ap gov, physics, ap english lit, and ap calc bc. i'm an outgoing, creative, and funny kid. my major will be mechanical and aerospace engineering. that was a boring paragraph.

Indian male living in India. Dont do much except sit around playing guitar or listening to music (strictly rock and western classical lol). Courses - IB Diploma - maths, physics, chem HL and english, business SL and french ab initio. Major - engineering physics.

male from new hampshire...taking (AP) CalcBC, Psych, Lit, Stats, and Bio. pretty philisophical, spontaneous guy, i consider myself a decent texas holdem player (made $1200) and i play competitive tennis as well as electric guitar. also, im cal-m in counter-strike for those of you who know what that is. i love to have fun and take risks...im hoping that all of these cornell engineers are not the stay locked in dorm room studying all day types (especially the ladies), but not the ones who think drinking/smoking is the cool thing to do types either. planning to major in mecheng but i still enjoy psychology and cog science so ill see how itll turn out.

congratulations to all who made it in...now it's time to sit back and relax in preparation for 4 years of many, many allnighters, but those will be balanced by great times and it will all be worth it in the end :).

also, if anyone wants my AIM sn just pm me.

one more thing...lets try to end that cornell engineering stereotype of cutthroat competition. lets collaborate on tough problems and help each other out so we can all pull through the engineering curriculum together - and have a great time while doing it.

wait. Cornell engineering is cutthroat? I was always told that people work together and generally, help each other out during difficulty. It'll be tough, but I'm pumped for it!

Hey guys, I'm from MA. I haven't made a decision yet - that is, I haven't seen Cornell's financial aid offer yet - but I'm in and maybe I'll see some of you there next year.

My name's Alexandra, but that's WAY too many syllables so just call me Alex. I'm a (white) girl from Massachusetts, and I love the Red Sox, obviously, and the Pats too...woot.

Anyways, I'm planning on majoring in Computer Science.
I hate schoolwork and studying, but I do it anyways like a good doobie. I plan on partying and living it up but within regulation, and only on the weekends so I don't fail out (ha!)...I like to have a good time.
I love basically all sports, especially softball, volleyball, basketball, and snowboarding. I play the drums and like rock music.

I'm a silly girl, yes I said silly, and once you get to know me, you can't take me seriously. I'm a jokester. Ane I love Dane Cook. Also, I'm a master at catching food in my mouth.

I am an Asian female from NYC.
I am taking AP Calc BC, Multivariable Calculus, AP Phy C, AP Stat, AP Micro, and Eng.
I love to hang out with my friends and go shopping.
I am still not sure about where I want to go.
I am interested in Biological Engineering.

Congratulations on your acceptance everyone! :]
