Cornell Engineers Unite!

i'm from worcester. exactly. not near or around, but in the actual city. public school = wayyy ghetto and poor. we have roughly 5 dollars in the school's treasury.

where exactly are you from?

redsox = life, you sound awesome. anyway, I am from Jersey. I coasted and chilled thru 4 yrs in high school and only 4 years after learning English at age 8. I wanna do Chem.Eng. but ive been having second thoughts. i am taking AP Physics C + Electricity/Mag (AKA hell), AP Calc BC, AP Stat, and AP Chem. My only intellectual hobby is playing chess but thats because Im russian, its in my blood. Congrats to everybody.

redsox=life, hehe...we don't hear good things about Worcester (I've been there once, Mechanical Hall, but got lost in the city), at least not where I live...Ayer. Where? I bet you've never heard of it, either. Most people in neighboring towns haven't. I like the high school alright, except it has about twenty students and no tissue money. The twenty students was a bit of an exaggeration, it's more like 400, but it's still pretty small. I think it's something like half an hour from Worcester.

But we don't have tissue money. I think a lot of schools don't, actually.

edit: decided not to put my last name on this thing, ya never know what crazy pedophiles are lurking around cc haha...

There's a c/o 2010 website?...I didn't know that, I'll have to go make one...thanks :)

EDIT - Ah, here's the link - classof2010.cornell.edu. Not related to anything at all, but oh, it just reminded me of the swim test. If I go to Cornell, that'll be very interesting. I have to go visit Cornell some time, see The Lake and The Gorges for myself...

http://classof2010.cornell.edu/

go make a profile!

anyway, i'm an indian female living in orange county and im interested in biological engineering.

brother12, you are from Stuyvesant High School, aren't you ? =]

Asian male from Quincy, MA. I love cell phones, and I want to major in electrical and computer engineering. I'm in AP Calc BC, Environmental Sci, Eng Lit, Stat, Euro Hist, Honors Mandarin (not my native language), and I take an AP Physics C Mechanics course outside of school.
Hope to see everyone in classes and around campus. Let's all work hard!

Does anyone know if first year is all core classes?

redsox=life are you in your school's AFJROTC? I want to do ROTC in college but I'm not allowed to...

zoogies i can't wait for the swim test, it's the only part I'll pass without having to work my a$$ off haha.

I'm a male from the Detroit area. I like the Michigan sports teams (University of Michigan, Red Wings, Lions, Pistons, Tigers). Like to play all sports, especially football, ultimate frisbee and basketball (I'm terrible at basketball though). Don't play any instruments. Liberal.

That's about it.

dude from gainesville, go gators!!!

Indian male living in India. Dont do much except sit around playing guitar or listening to music (strictly rock and western classical lol). Courses - IB Diploma - maths, physics, chem HL and english, business SL and french ab initio. Major - engineering physics.

Helllooo everyone! I'm a female in St. Louis. I'm majoring in ChemE. Chem and Physics are my favorite subjects, and I'm a theater dork too. I love hanging out with friends, listening to muusic, and just having fun. Oh, and Harry Potter too ;). I don't know for sure if I'm going to Cornell, I'll have to visit it and see :). Is anyone here going to Cornell Days? For the c/o 2010 website, do we have to be enrolled at Cornell to access it and stuff? Aaah, I still cannot believe I got in.

i'm going up next weekend, the 7th, for the Society of Women Engineers little whatever they have going on.

uber...i'm not in jrotc (my school doesn't have it), but i'm in CAP (civil air patrol). i actually wanted to go to the air force academy, but i got medically disqualified and denied a waiver, so i didnt apply for a rotc scholarship cuz the same thing wooda happened. but due to the nature of my dq, i might be able to get one in the future.

so until they kick me out (or allow me in and be commited in a couple years!), i'll be doing ROTC off scholarship.

Hey everyone, my name is Bryan, I'm from the jersey shore. Ill be majoring in ChemE at Cornell. My hobbies are skateboarding, snowboarding, frisbee, hackysacking(lol), ping=pong, pool, and (though east coast waves suck!) surfing. I playe varsity football, run indoor and outdoor track(just tore my hamstring ouch!), play tennis for fun and golf. Im taking all AP match and science but am hitting some serious senioritis. Im very straight edge, but do love to relax and have a good time hanging with friends. School is interesting, but i def dont take high school seriously. Im hoping college will be more challenging and offer cooler oppurtunities to learn. Congrats to all acceptees and hopefully if my FA is good ill see you all next year.

uber0!

What's up, man. It's a small world.

hey zoogies, haha go figure you're in my physics class!

Hey guys, come to the chat ^^

omg! i slept through the chat!!! >_<

I'm not going to Cornell, but I want to join this thread too! I'm a female who may go to either CMU or UPenn, from Nor Cal. I don't have many hobbies except photography and yearbook (love!!) and sabotaging message boards where I am, most likely, not welcome. Majoring in Comp Sci and want to double major in Art. I want to work at Pixar one day. Sadly, no one cares!

haha. Awesome! Congrats wherever you plan to go and best wishes. At one point, I was considering CMU, but Cornell won over my parents and me! And now senioritis is eating me up alive. Schoolwork calls now!
