Has anyone heard from Cornell regarding egilbilty for the Eop program?
I applied, I got an email from the HEOP director saying they have not yet started reviewing HEOP/EOP applications yet.
Soon though! Best of luck!
@TheWapTrap
The only email I got was requesting my fafsa and tap information to the office of heop at Cornell in early January. Best of luck to too!
Yeah, I didn’t get ANY email regarding eligibility (but I also had already submitted my TAP/CSS/FAFSA) Plus I didn’t get an interview despite living quite literally 10min away from campus. Did you get one?
@TheWapTrap No I didn’t , I live in the Bronx
Gotcha
@TheWapTrap Can you paste that email here? Did you initiate contact or was it just sent to you? sorry, I’m really concerned because I haven’t gotten anything about eligibility
@HERCULES_HERCULES
Greetings!
Thank you for your interest in the New York State Opportunity Programs (EOP/HEOP) at Cornell University. We have received your application for admission to the University and are in the process of reviewing your materials. Before we can make a decision regarding your admission through EOP/HEOP, we must confirm your eligibility in accordance with New York State guidelines for both economic and academic eligibility. Through this process, we partner with our seven colleges/schools and the Office of Financial Aid and Student Employment to determine eligibility and reach an admissions decision.
In order to confirm your economic eligibility for the program, we ask that you promptly complete your financial aid application materials if you have not done so already. The requirements can found athttp://finaid.cornell.edu/apply-aid/prospective-applicants, and you can find your own specific checklist at http://finaid.cornell.edu/check-application-status. We require all applicants to complete this process for the economic review for EOP/HEOP.
Additionally, please complete the attached sheet and submit it to our office with the requested information. If you are delayed in submitting your financial aid paperwork, or if you have any questions about the requirements, contact us as soon as possible. Any delay in submitting these materials could hinder our ability to process your application for EOP/HEOP. Additionally, please complete the EOP/HEOP eligibility questionnaire electronically if you have access to the internet at https://cornell.■■■■■■■■■■■■■/jfe/form/SV_e97XdPDIOMNdEIB.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office at 607.255.6384. We are available by phone Monday-Friday from 8am – 6pm. Please submit your materials by February 15, 2018 to meet the Financial Aid timeline. Remember materials submitted late may affect our ability to review your application for admission to EOP or HEOP, so please submit early.
I definitely didn’t get in then because I got nothing of this nature
When did you get this?
@HERCULES_HERCULES. I got it Jan 26th. Do you say yes to eop on your common app? I haven’t heard anything since
I didn’t get that email, however, they had all my financial aid materials and eop supplements from the get go. They usually send that email if they haven’t already recieved your financial information.
Dont give up hope just yet.
Best of luck to you all!
Yes i did @Lynn26 i did for literally all the schools i applied to in NY. They were missing my stuff, but i didn’t get this email. I got a piece of mail talking about fin aid but nothing about EOP
You applied SHA @lynn26 maybe that’s why because they review and send out letters earlier
@HERCULES_HERCULES. Yes I did
i also applied to heop and got the same email requesting for info but never did I get an email stating my eligibility. I have called the office many times but they are of no help, they keep disregarding my question and hanging up without verifying anything. I had to talk to my counselor and she spoke to the college and they said that they have all my information, but nothing about eligibility.
@denisse2626 I never got an email stating if i was eligible. I wish they would let me know soon!!!
I guess time will tell, I’m hoping we all get in.
