cornell essay--no I m not asking you to read it

Consider the academic programs in the school/college you indicated above. How will you utilize them to further explore your intended major or field of interest, or general academic interests if you’re undecided?

What the hell do I write for this prompt? Do I just go to the school website, look up what opportunities they have and try to cram it all in there?

Or are they looking for something.

You're expected to do your own research on the school's program. Just use their website to find what you need.

It's not a hard question, all they're asking is why you're applying to Cornell, i.e. what do they have that other colleges don't. If you can't answer that, then you shouldn't apply.

hey I am not asking to be spoon fed information.

So basically all they want to know is if you've done your research?

Yea, pretty much. I really disliked writing that academic interest essay.

All I was saying is that it's asking why you chose Cornell. You have your reasons, so write them down. If you really want to go to Cornell because of x and y, then let them know. As long as they know that they can be a good fit for you and fulfill both your academic and personal needs, then it'll be that much easier for them to admit you. That's all.
