Cornell Essay

This is my essay for the common application. I chose the topic
"Evaluate a significant experience, achievement, risk you have taken, or ethical dilemma you have faced and its impact on you." I'm not really sure if I get my point across and if it really follows the topic. I would love to get some feedback!

PS: Do you think it helps to incorporate Cornell, engineering, or anything of that nature into your essay?

Well, I got into engineering ED at Cornell, so i can tell you what i did. For the common app essay, you don't have to mention cornell because they know its supposed to be generic, i.e. for a lot of colleges. But, definitely incorporate engineering as much as you can. I wrote my common app essay on a significant experience I had working on an engineering project (an electric car); i wrote my supplemental on why i want to do engineering at cornell, i.e. research oppotunities, engineering competition teams..etc (definitely incorporate Cornell in this essay, and show that you hv done research on programs availiable there); and my EC essay on the common app was about an engineering internship i did (at NASA). So I think it really helped that i showed real dedication to engineering.

I'm not a brilliant writter but i will look over your essay if you still need help.

I d like to read it
