Also: Stop the circlejerk of “Oh no I didn’t get my decision on X that means I’m rejected.” Have you ever heard or “rolling decision.” They will get to you when they get to you, and a date is not an indication of whether or not you were accepted/rejected. Stop drawing conclusions out of your asses because it does not add to the discussion and only discourages people. I can’t be the only one who things this…

@panicattheapp
Yeah, I do agree (except not as strongly worded). Like the only somewhat trend the past few years has been “rejection week” which is a slight trend, and that has already passed. People have gotten accepted in past years in all weeks. When you receive your decision does not impact if you are accepted or not. We will all eventually find out (hopefully lol).

@panicattheapp @HopefulCollege95 That’s true, but it’s nice to see if there’s any correlation (doesn’t hurt right?). This process just seems so mysterious and we’re natural curious beings haha So far, for CAS it appears that people who got their application submitted later (mid April) will get their decision tomorrow. On the contrary, people whose application was submitted in early April, still haven’t received a pin. I’m curious to see if this has any significance, once decisions come in. I’m wishing the best for all of us!

Yeah my application was sent to committee at the end of March!

@taryn97 I am in the same boat as you. Hopefully we will get accepted.

@CorTransCHE ^^^ also I applied for policy analysis and management

Any chance we could get our PINs updated at midnight tonight and get our decision tomorrow. lol i’m just so anxious

What’s up with tens of CALS and CAS applicants? Where are engineers at?

@marvin11 Oh my gosh you’re right haha maybe?.. Has that happened before?

@yassgirl I have no idea honestly. I’m usually oblivious to all this kind of stuff. But realistically, they could’ve reviewed the application today, making the decision available tomorrow? But its guess it plausible.

wait the cals list is just full of people with no pins. Did anyone from Cals actually get a pin yet?

@marvin11 It’s just so weird; we are in the same situation. When I called the admissions office they said that our decision should be out 2 to 3 weeks after our application has been sent for review. Ours are passing 3 weeks, and the people that were submitted later (mid-April) are getting their decisions tomorrow; I think it’s an interesting observation. We might get it at 12am? Let us all get accepted! haha

When your application was submitted for review has little to do with when you will hear back. Rather, I believe the date of decision depends mostly on how sure they are that they will accept or reject you.

If you are very qualified they will accept you earlier. If you are very unqualified they will reject you earlier. Most people fall somewhere in between, and their applications will need to be reviewed again.

Obviously if your application was just sent for review within the past 2 weeks they will not have it finished by now, but besides that I do not think timing has much impact.

Edit: in term of how many will be accepted or rejected tomorrow, I would guess that the rejection side would be larger. This is due to two factors: a) last year’s wave today was mostly rejections, and b) I would venture to guess that for a school like Cornell there are few applicants that are “very qualified” and many more that are “very unqualified.”

Anybody here an english major?

Hey guys! I think it would be nice to add the estimated date of when our application was submitted for review, major and class standing. I wonder if this could tell us something about the way they decide when we get our decisions? Good luck to us all!

@plzacceptm I completely agree with you and appreciate your insight, however for CAS it seems people are getting their decisions within two weeks of review whereas those with three weeks or more are not.

My application was sent earlyish April btw (don’t remember exact date).
