@Ishouldliveinslt I went to CALS admissions office Friday and they said “we’re sorry it’s taking a long time but we are rolling decisions out every Tuesday until the end of the month, best thing to do is be patient.”

Correct me if I am wrong, but I am thinking that since SHA doesn’t get a crazy amount of applications, they might be just taking their time reviewing and will release decisions when they are done with every application? Am I in the ballpark here? Anyone knows what happened in the past?

Just got a pin reset for engineering, hoping for the best but expecting rejection honestly. I did make it past the first rejection week so that’s a good thing though.

@luckybaby Oh wow, good luck! Mind sharing your stats? The bulk got rejected last week so I really hope that the odds are not against us 
@studboy97 Honestly I think that it what’s happening. There are so many more applicants from the other schools so we are put on the backburner. I just hope that all of this waiting is worth it though…

Now in one of the top 5 university of CS in China. My SAT is 1520/1600, with two SAT Subject Test both 800. My ranking is top 5%(12/334). As GPA culculation is a little different from that in USA, I would not mention it here. (Our teacher give all students pretty low grades, sometimes no student gets A among 300 students in class.) And my ECs are mainly labs, internships, volunteering, clubs, and student organizations.
I think my status is not that bad. But till now I haven’t got any acceptance or waitlists. I only got many rejections. I am losing my hope actually. Best wishes to you. Hope you could share your status as well. @EdwardL
@luckybaby Our stats are similar, and maybe I’m slightly higher in numbers. I got an 1570 on the new SAT, 800 on both physics and math 2, and top 1% in my current institution (2/220). ECs include community service (organizer and leader, hosting international exchanges for 1 month), leaderships in student union, summer camp counselor, and projects in machine learning. I got rejected by Penn and Columbia, btw
You deserve to be admitted to Cornell. You have done a soooo great job! I was rejected by Penn and Columbia as well. Hope for the best for tomorrow. @EdwardL
