Cornell Fall 2017 Transfer

@litlhoward2468 I think that the earliest last year was 4/19… I guess they’re released in waves on Tuesdays at 10 a.m., and more get accepted in early May than they do in late March. I think the first wave is a mixture of extremely qualified and under-qualified students, meaning that it is probably mostly stats based. I think the first decisions might be released on April 18… Hmmmm…

@nyrider I am attending BU, 3.9GPA, completed all the required coursework. I have been working as a journalist of two BUTV10 programs, spent summer interning at Shanghai Media Group. Applied because Cornell is the only school that offers communication and social influence major.

@litlhoward2468 yeah last year was the 19th and the year before was the 15th i think

@lexluther96 what school are you applying to?

Today I called because I had an issue with my resume. When I called, the refered me to an automatic voice message, and my petty ass was like “not today b*tch!, not today!” I kept pressing the 0 until someone finally answered me

I believe last year there were actually acceptances that came on the 13th! Where did you see that it was the 19th? @litlhoward2468

^omggggggg ily

i mean i love med 509 for that post

@throwaway2101 oh wow…i just thought people said the 19th…i know there were some people last year who said they got calls, but did you see people get their decisions online on the 13th?

@ILRie18 CAS. You?

Is any other ILR applicant kind of happy that we get a phone call if accepted? I think it’s a less scary way than from finding out from an email (like I’m currently experiencing with other universities).

@lexluther96 ILR!
@Mastodon97 Yeah, I definitely agree. We also get to know a day early because of the call!

@Mastodon97 @ILRie18 but everyday you will sit with your phone in your lap watching it.

I still haven’t seen the “sent for review” box on the portal after the completion of my checklist. Should I be worried? I did not declare any SAT/ACT scores btw…

Haha, my college report and college transcript are still not checked off. Should I be worried?

I am starting to think they aren’t even looking for documents anymore, and are just updating the portals with the documents they have and marking them as “sent for review” after they review it.

@rubberducky123 @NotAMathlete A lot of people are missing stuff still and Cornell said to not worry about it until they email you about it!

The Cornell transfer process is the most unorganized and stressful, so extra rolls eyes

DON’T RESEND MATERIALS UNTIL THEY REQUEST IT IN MID-APRIL. DOING SO MIGHT MAKE THEM THINK THAT YOU DID NOT SEND ALL OF YOUR REQUIRED MATERIALS BEFORE THE DEADLINE. DON’T DO IT.

Check yo portals. My college report was FINALLY marked off. I sent it from California via UPS three-day shipping on like March 1. They are steadily getting through everything.
