Cornell Fall 2017 Transfer

@aihcxx hey how did you get notified? I am in college and have not got mail… What is a TO??? I applied to human ec will I get an email or no?? Does your online data base say you got in.

@bobsmith5101 I got notified by a letter sent to my house. TO is the transfer option- something that Cornell gives to people who applied in high school, which basically means that you go to another college for your freshman year, complete Cornell’s course requirements and get a certain GPA, and then you get into Cornell for your sophomore year. I had the TO to Human Ecology so I got earlier notification since I did not have to resubmit a full application. Non-TO acceptances should come online, but not in the portal where your application materials are shown, they’ll send you an email with a link to a different portal.

Hope that helped!

@panicattheapp Really? That’s a coincidence. Did you transfer because you didn’t like Baruch or because you always planned to apply to Cornell?

Hello, I am a freshman and I applied to Cornell for transfer in Fall 2017 (ILR), was wondering what you thought about my chances (and when should it start coming out, my application was sent for review one or two weeks ago).

@Victors A bit of both. I wanted to study stats but after talking to alum from the stats program I was really turned off and decided on applying to stats at CALS. How about you?

I’ve been lurking for a while and decided to make an account and get in on the obsessive action. All my materials got processed by Cornell super quickly and my app went off for review like mid march so I’m thinking it’s very, very possible that I’ll get my decision on the 18th. I’m shakin in me boots

CAS by the way, junior applicant

@panicattheapp I want to major in hospitality which isn’t offered at Baruch. I thought that I could take classes at City Tech or Kingsborough but after asking and researching about the process it’s really… Not the way I want to go about getting my degree. I’d prefer Cornell’s education. It would be easier, smoother and more beneficial. But I do like the environment at Baruch. I’ve met so many cool people.

Any other ILR applicant who’s app was sent for review this week? Do you think we’ll get decisions next week?

Hey, does anyone know when CAS decisions usually come out?

@Mastodon97 I think decisions will start next Tuesday

@Mastodon97 What does your first and last name letter start with?

@Tilltheend oh okay I had no idea that’s how it worked! I just looked it up and yeah I see what you mean now by our applications being reviewed in a two step process. I applied for ECE, how about yourself?
