Hi guys,
I’ve been following this thread since it started and just decided to make an account.
I applied for information science with CAS. So far I haven’t seen anyone apply to CAS for my major. All of my materials were received back in March. And my application has been send for review for like two weeks. I’m getting really nervous.

@ephistoM true, but I don’t see the point in doing that. You’re not going to find our any earlier that way. I feel like people in this thread look into little things way too much. At the end of the day, you either get in or you don’t. Looking into hints in either direction will only make you more anxious about your decision.

Secondly, please don’t think I’m singling you out by what I’m about to say. I do this anytime I see this, simply because I get annoyed when I see it. Also know I do understand you probably meant “average for Cornell”, but I feel this still should be said.
A score of 30 on the ACT is not in ANY WAY “extremely average”. In 2016, US students averaged a 20.8 on the ACT. In North Dakota (assuming you’re in-state), they averaged 20.3.
A 30 puts you in roughly the 95th percentile. NNNNNNOOOOOOTTTTT average. 
College Confidential is a wonderful tool. But it has the tendency to shine a light on the 1% of students, who like yourself, are truly exceptional. The 1% that has a chance to go to a school such as Cornell. But everyone deserves to go college, and everyone deserves the right to seek and receive advice.
