Cornell Fall 2017 Transfer

@terr24lr If Cornell already gave people PINs that are getting their decisions on the 25th which is next Tuesday, do you think that they still would do a wave this Friday and not give people PINs for the 21st? Nobody here got a PIN that was not the 18th or 25th right? (My stuff was sent in late March or early April and I do not have a PIN for ILR)

@hdaviirus That’s actually a great point that I did not realize. I highkey just said that because ILR2020 is already getting so down about it. I’m AEM and for the most part none of us got pins either. Hmm… yeah completely disregard what I said about a wave on Friday because I clearly know nothing. Sorry!

@terr24lr Lol that makes sense, for ILR in the past Ian made calls to accepted students, but it does not seem like he is continuing the practice, at least on the scale of the previous years. I wish there was more transparency on decision dates and such, would be less stressful.

@hdaviirus This Ian guy is an admissions officer for ILR specifically right? Because I haven’t received any indication of a person representing AEM

Hey I haven’t heard anything yet but if anyone can chance me that would be great??
2250 SAT
740 Math II
730 Physics
98 GPA in High School
Captain of Girls Soccer and Girls Wrestling, Science Olympiad, Student Senate, Volunteer work, Band, School Musical

I currently go to Binghamton University. I have a 3.6 GPA in the Biomedical Engineering program. (I’m a freshman). I got waitlisted at Cornell’s CoE last year as well as Dartmouth and UPenn (also for engineering). This time around I applied to CALS for biological engineering and animal science.

@terr24lr Yeah only ILR, not sure what the process for AEM is.

“If you have any questions regarding the major you were accepted to, please contact CALS Admissions by email at cals_admissions@cornell.edu or by phone at 607.255.7688.” can someone explain this?!?!?! I’m confused

@jojowetzz I actually think that it shows up for everyone as of now

@jhong0811 Im confused becuase I applied to CAS, not CALS

@jojowetzz transeval are for CALS majors.

Can someone explain to me how you ‘normally’ get your PIN? Is it emailed to you?

Just a heads up, if you applied to Cornell in a previous year, I am pretty sure you are able to reset your pin at any point in the process. I reset my pin before my application was even sent off for review.

Oh, nope, kidding. Haha, my decision date is 4/25. Oh well? I don’t know if this is necessarily the “rejected students day” though. My stats were pretty strong and my essays were pretty good.

Should I call the office and see if I can get an expedited decision?

How is everyone getting this decision date of 4/25? I haven’t received any emails, nor do I have any posted updates on my portal…

@schlagzeugerin You have to go get your pin from this link : https://decision.applyyourself.com/fl_login.aspx?id=cornellu by clicking on “forgot pin”. Not everyone’s getting it, you only get a pin and a decision date if they have made a decision. If you don’t get a pin that means they haven’t made a decision. (Like Me)

@Mastodon97 without clicking the pin reset, you will get an email with your PIN/ decision date right?

FALL SEMESTER TRANSFER ADMISSION

Submit all required application materials (application mailing instructions) March 15
Financial aid application materials due March 15
Admission decisions and financial aid awards announced May and June
Reply to offer of admission July 1

Does this timetable on Cornell transfer webpage apply to the ILR school?

Will CALS applicants receive an email after their materials are sent for review?

@Mastadon97
Ah thank you so much. I just checked but I don’t have a pin so I guess my decision hasn’t been made yet. Good luck to you :slight_smile:

@marvin11 No idea, it’d be best to check it once a day from now on I guess.
@schlagzeugerin Same to you!

My app was sent for review on April 14. Should I expect to hear back in May?
