@iveeehopeful Are there generally more accepted people throughout the entire month of May or just the beginning of?
@financeguyjames you are fine! I was looking at the 2015 and 2016 thread earlier, and applicants for ec received their decisions throughout april and may equally (technically speaking, they didn’t necessarily have a “rejection” week). I wouldn’t stress out too much if I was in your shoes – take a deep breath and breathe 
@maeee09 @EdwardL It’s a tough situation to be in…I applied to AAP at Cornell, which is very small…so there isn’t much information at all about decision dates or past trends.
@ngujo96 you are so lucky though, you got in! If you look at last year’s thread it shows that people who applied to human ecology were accepted on such day… YOU ARE SO LUCKY UGHHHHHH WHY CANT I FIND OUT

Completed an associates degree in one year instead of two while working a full-time and part-time job (minimum 50 hrs/week)

work full-time as a data entry person at a liquor store (full-time with benefits)

Won a who’s who award in america

@iveeehopeful Honestly, I wouldn’t worry about it. You’re definitely a strong applicant and will achieve regardless of where you attend school. That being said, I know how much we all want this and I wish you the best.
I am also an Econ major and I haven’t received my pin yet so I have no idea what is happening.
@iveeehopeful You seem pretty qualified! Question, why are you going for Econ rather than AEM?
@jinzo000 It was mainly because I was told CAS would accept more candidates, so I thought i’d have a better chance.

76 credits; all my prereqs are completed
Involvement: organic chemistry, biology, chemistry and biochemistry tutor (science nerd), i’ve been a volunteer EMT for 2 years, started a global health club, volunteer with refugees at a local shelter, worked in a genetics research lab for 2 year, and a TA for anatomy
- GPA: 3.89/4.00
- Recommendation: My organic chemistry professor, Dean of my college, and English professor. My recommendations were very strong most likely due to my personal connection with my professors – I go to a relatively small school (top 50-ish) which has allowed me to build a strong academic relationship with them.
- essays: pretty strong, talked about my experience with my transgender friend
