To everyone that got their decision today, you can post your stats on this results thread if you wish… http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/cornell-university/2075110-cornell-fall-2018-transfer-results-thread.html#latest
I applied CAS and still haven’t heard anything… hope it’s a good thing…
any aem heard back today?
Last week and this week have been said to be “rejection week” (even though there have been acceptances)… so starting next week is when supposedly there are more acceptances than not @ObLiViOuSx99
Has anybody who applied for engineering college gotten decision?
But @transferunknown are still more than rejections coming next week. As for engineering applicants do we get decisions at last week of May
Has anybody who applied for las gotten decision?
REJECTED
3.82 GPA
applied as EE (electrical engineering), incoming junior
62 credits
non-traditional (I stopped attending school in the 7th grade)
Had a “c+” on my midterm report. Also had a medical withdrawal a few semesters ago. I think these two factors wouldn’t have been disqualifying alone, but combined, dragged me down too much. Acceptance was never guaranteed so i’m not too upset. Hoping for a USC or NYU admit in the coming weeks.
Hi everyone, I am an international transfer applicant for CAS. I will become in my late 20’s on this June. I am probably not the best applicant here.
After I graduated from my high school, I could not go to college since
I barely met the requirement for the graduation. Then, I served in Army for two years
as my country’s mandatory service and worked for years from a hotel valet to a construct worker.
One day, when I was on a bus on the way back from work, it has suddenly hit me if the role I am playing is the
best role I can play in society. I wanted to take a bigger role to society and my community.
Hence, I decided to come in the U.S to continue my academic career.
I have started talking classes from a community college.
In order to continue my academic career, I applied for CAS at Cornell for 2018 fall semester on this semester.
I have looked at threads here for the past three weeks, waiting on the decision.
As reading how much you guys have done and achieved so far academically and professionally in a field which
you guys are interested in, I have realized that all of you guys here are undoubtedly qualified to be accepted.
Also, I would not be so disappointed even though I do not get in because I have been aware that all of you guys here have worked hard to be there.
Even though I am still waiting on my decision
…
Those of you who are already accepted !
Congrats! I hope you guys succed in you guys classes at Cornell and thrive well later on you guys lives too!
Those of you who are rejected!
Don’t feel so disappointed. As living, you have been fighting your battles so well enough to give a shot
to trasnfer to one of the best school in the world. Life is a long journey.
Your battle is not over yet. What truly defines our lives are what we do. Keep your chin up and show who you are really by showing what you do.
Those of you who are still waiting on the decison like me , Good luck and no matter the outcomes, we have withstood our lives to the point where we can apply for the world’s best school. Let’s be positive and have a wonderful day
Yes, acceptances, waitlists, and rejections can come at any time! @ChadisWack It is just known that the past two weeks have been known for being mainly “rejections”. I am not an engineering applicant so I am not sure about that question/answer, I am sorry! But I think that Cornell has until June 1st to let us know, but we can estimate when our’s will come by doing the Pin Trick & checking financial aid status each Monday night, as decisions are released every Tuesday morning at 10 AM EST. Hope this helps!
@CharismaJyoh Nicely said. Good luck to you as well! A few years ago I was not in the position to apply for anything more than a community/Jr College. To me, the fact that I am in the position where my application stands up with all the great applicants on here is a success on its own. If I get to Cornell the pathway to some of my life goals might be lit up more clearly. The reality is we can all pave our own path and make it to where we want to be in life without this type of university. With that said once more good luck!
Has anyone applying to the AEM program received anything?
What does it mean if I got an email from Cornell asking for an updated official AP score report? Do AP scores matter when factoring in decisions?
@scarletred Sorry. What a pity. I believe you are such a great person.
@wsu195 That’s probably a good sign. I don’t think AP scores are anything more than a tiny factor for decisions, so they most likely want them because they want to give approved transfer credits with acceptances.
