is transeval thing a big indicator?
@binklish apparently it’s a big indicator for CALS applicants—if your transeval is still not updated, you are likely rejected since CALS uses that to update accepted transfers on course transfer credits
so absolutely no decisions come out on any other day during the week besides mondays?

I’ll be honest guys I thought I had a solid shot here. But I’m pretty sure now that there was something definitively wrong with my application.

i knew that my essays could’ve been better…i think the biggest flaw of my application was failing to show how i was the perfect fit for cornell. everything else was very strong…i just wish someone had told me that my essays failed to articulate a strong connection with cornell before i submitted my f*cking app jskdfjksjkgs
i still have a tiny ray of hope, but i’m bracing for that rejection tmr, bc my finaid is still initiated, and i’ve yet to be contacted by paul fisher (this could also be bc i got all A+s on my midterm report lol) but yeah. rip.

@criesinchinese I’m on a gap year so I had, and used, months to write my essays. I made them all as good as I could have.

I’m happy with my safety school so I’m not gonna start bawling my eyes out if I’m rejected tomorrow, but rejection still sucks no matter what lol. Nothing would make me happier than actually being accepted
Seems like people with transeval update is most likely accepted. But I do not have mine changed so haha not gonna be surprised with rejection

rejected =/= a reflection of our worth!!! i’ve gotta remember that. i’m also okay with my safety school (unc-chapel hill)…but i didn’t necessarily dream of going to unc the same way i dreamed of going to cornell.
@PlzNeed2transfer i also spent MONTHS on my essays!!! and they’re super well written, but failed to articulate a perfect/strong connection to cornell itself. i spent too much time trying to write perfect pieces of prose, as opposed to addressing the college itself. it sucks when you’re not rich enough to hire a professional college consultant who actually has experience in admissions and helps you with the app 
either way, knowing that i’m not the only one going through this anxiety makes me feel better
