Rejected from Dyson! I’m not that upset because I’m really proud of myself for reaching so high and all of you folks should be proud of yourselves too! Esp Dyson applicants since the acceptance rate is like 3%… we have set the bar high for ourselves and there is no coming down from that. Grad school here we come!

Rejected College of Human Ecology PAM. This is a huge blow for me, as I have spent the last 2 years at community college hoping I could get into Cornell. I got into Boston University and CU Boulder anyway for Economics, but this was the real goal. I love Cornell but I guess it’s not meant to be. Take care and good luck.
Also rejected from CHE PAM. My essays were the dealbreakers, rest of my application was very strong. ADVICE TO FUTURE APPLICANTS: MAKE EVERY ESSAY SCHOOL SPECIFIC AND DO NOT USE THE SAME ESSAY FOR EVERY SCHOOL LIKE I DID LOL. sad, but its not the end of the world. Just gonna go to unc instead

The main essay was alright I think but I thought it was generic. It was Cornell specific and I did spend a lot of time on it but I didn’t feel like it was unique at all. I mentioned specific areas of Cornell’s Econ program that would be beneficial as well as unrelated organizations I would be interested in.
And for those still waiting on a decision: My financial aid said initiated until sometime today… I don’t know when, but it said initiated last night. IF IT DOESN’T SAY ORDERED IT IS NOT A GUARANTEED REJECTION.
Edit: I should add, I didn’t think my recommendations would be good at all. I didn’t really have a strong connection to any professor besides having good attendance, good grades, and a few office hours visits. They had nothing bad to say but I can’t imagine they had a lot to say either.
