Cornell Financial Aid - Has anyone been notified of their aid award?

Has anyone been notified of their aid award?

I had to send in the w2 forms because I forgot on the first time. It's supposed to arrive any day but it's cutting close to the deposit deadline.

I got mine a few days before christmas and it was a great present!

I'm in the same boat, evanescent. They told me I could postpone the deposit if my award is late.

mine sucked im goin to be in major debt if i don't get a great job

Abike, you can call them up or e-mail them and they may help accomodate you.

why don't you try to win some scholarships in the meanwhile.

im trying but i would need a scholarship to cover the financial aid they did give me and my family contribution- either i have to win a ton of small scholarships or a few huge sums but in the end i'll need to get loans

no, your scholarships subtract from your loans before anything else. It's on the financial aid website.

yah then if it exceeds the loan portion they take it away from your FAP

even if i call them what would i say?

Say that you are unable to pay what is asked of you, explain why...I suggest having a parent call if that's possible.

yeah but if you have a scholarship instead of FAP paying for it...what's the difference in where the money's coming from. Don't you still avoid loans, which are the big pain?

I have received my FA award...actually it was less than a week after the official decision came in the mail.

there's no difference but obtaing winning a big enough scholarship is difficult
