They have refused my application for aid. Is there anything I can do at this point? I cannot possibly attend without aid.

If there is new information that affects your family’s ability to meet the expected family contribution, or if you think we may have overlooked some aspect of your family’s financial circumstances, you may request a reconsideration of your financial aid package. Additionally, if you receive a need-based aid offer from another Ivy League institution, Stanford, Duke, and/or MIT that is more favorable than Cornells, we welcome the opportunity to match their offer of financial aid. Download and submit the Appeal Application form. Since we offer the best aid package we can based on the initial information weve been given, reconsideration is based on additional supporting documentation provided by your family…

All this is posted on Cornell’s FinAid website: [Newly Admitted Students | Financial Aid](Welcome Newly Admitted Students! | Financial Aid)

My family circumstances were detailed clearly in PROFILE and my parents had offered to contribute more than they could actually afford. They were planning to take as much of a loan as they could. Still, Cornell admittedme to CAS but denied aid. However, no change in family income has occurred. Is it still possible for International students to appeal? Like tiyas42, I cannot possibly attend without aid.

Padfootgirl, apparently Cornell does this all the time.
Some cheap tactic to appear “need blind” by accepting people like us but making it impossible for us to attend all the same by not granting aid. I don’t see any hope.

At least I can say I got into an Ivy League College
, even if I can’t attend
